A German parlor game “Verrückte Sprichwörter” (“Crazy
Proverbs”) turned out to be much more fun than its title let
anticipate ...
I was eager to use the idea to create “random proverbs” in a
little fun project.
Okay.., the output of this program is not guaranteed to be
funny as computers are too dumb to understand humour while
the original game engages the players' own intelligence.
Requirements
Linux
The gem can be installed on Windows®, but I do not know if it
works on that operating system. Also, I do not care to
know.
The program comes in two versions (both included in the
gem): proverbs creates new proverbs in
English, sprichwoerter does the same in
German. Call with the
argument '-h' to see the options in each
language.
For details and a usage-example, refer to one of the
manuals:

Documentation
The documentation can be found in the
doc subdirectory of the expanded Ruby gem,
available in several formats.
